At Sunny Skies Preschool, we offer engaging yoga sessions during our extended care program that support children’s physical and emotional well-being. Through fun, age-appropriate poses, gentle stretching, and guided breathing, children build strength, flexibility, and balance while improving focus and body awareness.
Yoga also introduces mindfulness, helping children relax, manage their emotions, and develop a sense of calm in a supportive environment. By incorporating movement, imagination, and relaxation, our yoga sessions promote confidence, inner peace, and overall well-being.
At Sunny Skies Preschool, we offer engaging music and movement sessions during our extended care program that bring energy, creativity, and joy to the classroom. Our teacher introduces children to a wide variety of music styles while incorporating instruments such as the piano, guitar, drums, and more. Through singing, dancing, and hands-on exploration of instruments, children develop rhythm, coordination, and listening skills. These sessions also encourage self-expression, confidence, and social interaction as children move and create music together. Music and movement not only provide a fun and exciting experience, but also support cognitive development and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
During extended care at Sunny Skies Preschool, we offer engaging and creative art classes that inspire imagination and self-expression. Children enjoy a wide variety of activities, including painting wooden shapes, designing colorful canvases, and participating in hands-on arts and crafts projects. Each activity is thoughtfully planned to encourage creativity while helping children develop fine motor skills and confidence. Our young artists have the freedom to explore different materials, colors, and techniques, making each creation unique. Most importantly, they have a wonderful time expressing themselves through art in a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment.
At Sunny Skies Preschool, we offer engaging STEM activities during our extended care program. These hands-on experiences take place right in the classrooms, using child-friendly materials and tools. Children have fun exploring science, technology, engineering, and math through creative experiments, building projects, and problem-solving activities. They get to mix, build, test, and discover—encouraging curiosity while developing critical thinking skills in a fun and interactive way.
